This is my daughter's first dinner she made for daddy!! It may not look pretty, but damn, it tastes yummy!! It's got pineapples, spinach, pepperoni, swiss cheese, and mushrooms! SO GOOD!!

For the first time, Persephanie made a snack. All by herself. All from the beginning, getting all the utensils, the materials from the fridge, setting it all up on the table.

She even made one for mom and dad!!!

All in order too. Biggest one is for me, medium sized one is for mom, and the smallest one is for herself. Celery, peanut butter, cranberries, with a dash of love. It was the perfect sweetness! Yum!!!

Next is to teach her how to do the dishes. Soon... very soon.

4004 and Nana

It was such a nice today for a leisure ride. On our random route, we decided to swing by my old stomping grounds. Was curious to see if our old house was still there. And to see what has changed in the neighbourhood. Turns out nothing has changed! I even got a chance to see Nana! Our longtime neighbour. Such good people, Sam and Nana. She was really the entire blocks "nana." She looks exactly how I remembered her... and that's 10+ years ago! And she even remembered me! Too bad Sam had a stroke and is now in a long-term care home.

We had a good long chat, updated me with all the blocks residents. She got a chance to me Lina and Persephanie too.  Awesome. It really made my day.

A little bit of me is sad as I really hope this wasn't our last meeting.

Pure Joy

What you see here is pure joy. At its essence.

I'm convinced that 4 years old is the BEST age to be at. At least in a first world country. There simply is no better age then this. Just look at this pic. Simple things in life are so beautiful. 4 years old. Old enough to eat by yourself. Old enough to go to the washroom yourself. Old enough to learn adult concepts and apply them to the real world. Comprehension. School is the best at this age too. Preschool is all fun and games and snack times! Come next year, there's studying and homework. All of a sudden there's gonna be some responsibilities. I'm sure it'll come to her as a shock.

Just moments after this shot was taken... while I had my back turned for a minute.. Persephanie made a snow angel on the ground. No regard of the dirty ground nor the dirty snow that gets onto her jacket. That's the life!

My new tutorial blog. Keeping that one public though. (Unlike this one) So, anything goes on that one. Thought I'd try to pick this project up again. Since I had failed miserably the last time I tried... like 10 years ago. I learned a lot since then. So, I'm going to test my skills on it the second time around.

Chicago Holidays: YuKids Island, Royal Buffet, Party City

Woodfield mall's Yu Kid's Island. An indoor playground/jungle gym. Superly-awesomely gym. Cleanest place on earth! Seriously, I'm watching the girls there walking behind the kids wiping the areas ALL THE TIME! The place is spotless. Not a scratch anywhere either! I need to hire these girls to clean our house.

Last meal at Barnelli's Ribs! My favorite rib joint in the whole world. But, didn't get any Barnelli's ribs... as I missed the closing minute. (by 6 minutes actually)

Technically, I counted down to the new year with a couple rats running by me while I was parked in a dark alleyway.
