Last weekend of our lives

Had to take advantage of the picturesque-ness of the day. Had a little drive through Stanley Park. It's been awhile.

But, where was the park?!? All the trees were blown down during a freak windstorm a few months back.

Life is over

2nd last weekend of our lives

It was a postcard day Thanksgiving today. Simply beautiful.
Did we go out and enjoy it? nope.
Was it productive? You betcha.

I spend the entire weekend inside the nursery.. painting. Could've simply painted it one color and call it a day.. but, true to my nature.. I had to make it complicated. I could never let it go. Wanted something fun, stimulating but not too much, neutral yet playful, and something that will last. Thought of a mural.. but, that would definitely take too much time. (Still kind of want to though)

So we finally decided on a two-tone scheme. "Baby Roo" and "Acre Snowfall

I don't know nufin bout birfin no babies

Well, we officially did it now. We made a baby! It's been 37 weeks now and that means 'full term'. It's got all the goods (I hope)

Can't wait to meet it!

Grandma's cast

Grandma-in-law had a little spill and bruised her wrist. (not bad.. could've been worse. She is 98 after all).

3rd last weekend of our lives

.. and it sucked. Rained ALL weekend. C'mon, give us a effin break. What a waste.

4th last weekend of our lives

It's a hard balance. Juggling the time spent between work, house cleaning, planning, and leisure. All equally important during this period. This past weekend, we accomplished all! Was a great relaxing day at Granville Island.

PS. the baby's kicking hard now. You can see it move around now!
... the little monster! Poor momma.

OMG WTF 33 Days left!

I thought I was ready. But, I really wasn't.

After this past weekend's prenatal course, I don't think I'm ready. But, I really am.

The term "Lamaze class" always conjured up visuals of pregnant women in a circle on mats doing breathing excersizes listening to ocean waves. That's a straight up lie. That image is to get you into that class. Then they sit you down and slap you silly with the truth. For 7 painful hours.

Educational? Well.. I guess that's a way to describe it.

I don't think I EVER needed to know what an episiotomy was.
(go ahead.... look it up. I dare you.)

The law is the law.

I wasn't speeding really.

"Just following traffic"... but, you know how that goes. >8(

Baby Shower!

All my sisters and cousins gave me a baby shower! (the night also triple as a "Welcome Home Grandma & Lilllian" BBQ party)
I would like to thank all the sisters and cousins for the baby showers. Really appreciate all the hard work and presents!

Hobo

We were greeting with this awesome spider when we entered the house! It's HUGE (about 4 inches!) and it almost devoured us. It's a hobo spider. Fighting the temptation in letting him bite me so I can jump around skyscrapers and climb up walls

My second dream project gets the green light! It's only a rumour, but I'll take it.
After Transformers, I feel this one might actually have a chance! Well, as long as a certain director doesn't take the helm.

ReBorn!

Had dinner with a good friend. This was a special dinner. It was a celebration of rebirth! Recovering from a rare disease that put him in a 5 day coma! Had an interesting discussion of near-death experiences and afterlives.

Dream fulfilled finally!

It's been a long time planning, building, and spending. The Skyline is finished and just in time for a track day! I've always wanted to build a car and race on the tracks. This was it. AND a big bonus.. I get to ride in a Porsche Carrera GT in full stride!! And another bonus... it was all for charity to BC Women's and Children Hospital! Don't really have pics of me on the track.. as I was... well.. busy racing.
