Buntzen Lake

Today was a skyline BBQ meet at Buntzen Lake. The weather was perfect for one.. so the entire family headed out there.

BUT, the boys were late. ALL of them. (Saw about a dozen come in as we left)

Full moon today...

Skyline Dyno

Been a long time waiting. Spent a Saturday morning cleaning the house. Got tired.. and went for a nice cruise in my car. Was itching for it for a long time too... been garaged for the last 2 weeks.

Just by happenstance... I ended up at Z-Tune Motorsports. Let them look over my car. Got it vacuum and compression tested. Then somehow I got talked into a dyno. So... I bit.

Got myself to the local dyno. Before I got my car in, I turned DOWN the boost 20%. Seems counter-intuitive considering I want the numbers to read HIGH, not low. But, I would rather have a lower number than to have my motor blow. That's just me. Keepin it real.

Mike and I made a bet. He guessed 375hp. I guessed 350hp.

We were both wrong. We guessed too high. So sad.
Not really though. I'm actually kinda glad about the numbers. Now I know what is happening to my engine. (Running SUPER lean) There's no guessing now. I now know exactly what needs to be done to get a reliable motor.

Now, where's the nearest bank to rob?

Enjoyin the ride

I can finally put "persephanie" and "skyline" together in the keyword labels.

Z-Tune BBQ

A small local Nissan shop had a BBQ. Invited our forum members for a little meet. Was a last minute event. So, I decided to go.. in the last minute. Quite refreshing! Hadn't done anything Skyline related in.. say.. 5 months. I wonder why.

I only stayed for 15 minutes. Had to go home for somebody.

Last Skyline meet of the year

Thanks Marco for lending me your camera!

Special thanks to Jeff for being the photographer, Mui for trying to be one, Mike for coming out, and Danica for hanging out.

Dream fulfilled finally!

It's been a long time planning, building, and spending. The Skyline is finished and just in time for a track day! I've always wanted to build a car and race on the tracks. This was it. AND a big bonus.. I get to ride in a Porsche Carrera GT in full stride!! And another bonus... it was all for charity to BC Women's and Children Hospital! Don't really have pics of me on the track.. as I was... well.. busy racing.

It was awesome.
