I'm not very open with my political views. Only voted a few times in my life. And each of those times, I've often wondered if I actually made the correct choice. Never have I had a sure thing. Probably like many in my generation, we simply ignore it. "My vote won't make a difference."
Enter Barack Obama.
Wow.. this guy is good. Why does politics need to be boring? This guy knows how to reach into the hearts of his audience. And simply through the art of conversation. Refreshing and Inspiring are the two best words I can think of using to describe how I feel about him. Being a visible minority often brings a mentality of social submissiveness. Now, seeing an equally visible minority rise to (the highest) power.. surely gives us hope. A hope that he is thinking of the people's interests and turning it into positive progress for the future. I'm sure this has been echoed by many, and many of my generation.
I can't believe I would ever blog about politics, but this one's a bit personal. And here I am.. looking at a guy that gives me inspiration like an artist or a great song would. Watching his speeches was tear-jerkingly good.
Here's Persephanie taking her first steps. You can hear her say.. "momma".. in actuality.. she's saying .."nom nom".. She's hungry for brains. I'm sure of it.
The party was a success! Good turnout. The party would've sucked if no one showed up. Everyone was enjoying themselves. Thanks for coming out and thanks for the gifts!!! And for the cash gifts... I promise they ARE going toward her savings. Really! :)
Special thanks to those that helped out: Cat, Andrew, Danica, and Martin. And a extra special thanks to Mom, Sarah and Lili

Lost my trusty camera. My awesome loner DSLR camera is loned out to someone else. So, no camera at all. No pix on my blog.
Updates? Got into a car accident yesterday. Silly rear-ender. Not my fault. Typical stuff. But, I was banged up pretty bad. Well, I'm really exaggerating. I did bump my forehead pretty hard on something.. don't remember what tho.
What?!? Did I put the seatbelts on just for show?!? hmph!
Funny.. I have the offender's license plate embossed into my bumper. (Damn, wish I had a CAMERA!!!!!) Let's see him hit and run. hehe
Saw the doctors... I think he prescribed ice cream and some solid hours in front of my Playstation or something like that. This may go on for days. I'm thinking ....weeks. hehe
Baby's first time in the store. Seemed to be a non-traumatic experience for her. Dad has a lot of memories in this place.
In fact, I remember... That we often get customers of all walks of life. Some interesting ones are the ones that keep their money in 'special' places. Like socks and bras. uh...... DISGUSTING!!!! Especially, when it's Chicago summer. They'll just stand there, take off their shoes and then socks.. and then you'll get a stack of dirty bills. I have to take the smelly and sweaty bills off of them. There was one time, it was so sweaty that the bills were stuck together.. you know how that is. She had to peel them off of each other right in front of me. uh.. yea.
Sometimes, I just think it's not worth it.
How I never had a pair of gloves by the cash register at all times.. I have no idea.
YUCK!
Well.. at least I would just give those nasty bills to the next customer. I made sure of that.
The hatching of a Sephieasaurus Rex! This piece of elephant dung was impressive. But, I do have to say... not as impressive as the one I unloaded a few weeks ago. Now THAT was truely impressive. It took 5 flushes! With 2 courtesy fushes. Yea... I was proud.
