Been a long time waiting. Spent a Saturday morning cleaning the house. Got tired.. and went for a nice cruise in my car. Was itching for it for a long time too... been garaged for the last 2 weeks.
Just by happenstance... I ended up at Z-Tune Motorsports. Let them look over my car. Got it vacuum and compression tested. Then somehow I got talked into a dyno. So... I bit.
Got myself to the local dyno. Before I got my car in, I turned DOWN the boost 20%. Seems counter-intuitive considering I want the numbers to read HIGH, not low. But, I would rather have a lower number than to have my motor blow. That's just me. Keepin it real.
Mike and I made a bet. He guessed 375hp. I guessed 350hp.
We were both wrong. We guessed too high. So sad.
Not really though. I'm actually kinda glad about the numbers. Now I know what is happening to my engine. (Running SUPER lean) There's no guessing now. I now know exactly what needs to be done to get a reliable motor.
Now, where's the nearest bank to rob?
